Pterygodium acutifolium of the Orchidaceae Family is endemic to the Western & Eastern Cape.
Pollinated by oil collecting bees, I’m told.
These were 10cm in size and found in a seepage area of the Kogelberg sandy flats.
They flower mostly after fire...
