Renanthera pulchella remains an obscure species very seldom found in cultivation. The original description suggested its flower was not dissimilar to an inferior form of Renanthera imschootiana, only shaded more orange with canary yellow margins. The only surviving photographic evidence, furnished by the importers of the species, is alas much too faded to supply any sound basis for comparison.
