The orchid Paphiopedilum Mitylene is a hybrid in the Paphiopedilum genus. registered with the Royal Horticultural Society by C.Moore in 1934. Registered parents are Paphiopedilum Clair de Lune × Paphiopedilum Maudiae. The key influencing species of this hybrid are Paphiopedilum lawrenceanum (50.00% subgenus Sigmatopetalum subsection: Barbata ) Paphiopedilum callosum (37.50% subgenus Sigmatopetalum subsection: Barbata ) Paphiopedilum superbiens (12.50% subgenus Sigmatopetalum subsection: Loripetalum ) listed in order of their genetic contribution.
