It is originated by Mansell & Hatcher Registered parents are Cattleya mossiae × Cattleya New Britain. The key influencing species of this hybrid are Cattleya mossiae (56.25% subgenus Cattleya section: Cattleya ) Cattleya warscewiczii (23.44% subgenus Cattleya section: Cattleya ) Cattleya dowiana (10.94% subgenus Cattleya section: Cattleya ) listed in order of their genetic contribution.
