It is originated by R.Vandyke Registered parents are Cymbidium Joan of Arc × Cymbidium Dorchester. The key influencing species of this hybrid are Cymbidium insigne (43.75% section: Cyperorchis ) Cymbidium lowianum (29.69% section: Cyperorchis ) Cymbidium eburneum (25.00% section: Cyperorchis ) listed in order of their genetic contribution.
