The orchid Cymbidium Valley Sylvan is a hybrid in the Cymbidium genus. registered with the Royal Horticultural Society by Valley Orchids in 1974. It is originated by R.Vandyke Registered parents are Cymbidium Lila × Cymbidium Sylvania. The key influencing species of this hybrid are Cymbidium insigne (37.89% section: Cyperorchis ) Cymbidium erythrostylum (18.75% section: Annamaea ) Cymbidium lowianum (18.16% section: Cyperorchis ) listed in order of their genetic contribution.
